What we collect, what we publish, and the terms that govern your use of DealerNorth.

DealerNorth is a market intelligence service for Canadian automotive dealers. We collect, aggregate, and publish pricing statistics derived from publicly available new-vehicle listings, and deliver those statistics as monthly reports and a live dashboard. Our outputs help dealers understand where their advertised prices sit relative to the broader local market.

Every dealer contributing to a statistic is replaced with an anonymous internal identifier before any calculation is performed. No subscriber can identify a specific competitor's pricing from DealerNorth's outputs.
All prices published in DealerNorth reports and the dashboard are rounded to the nearest $100. This applies to every statistic — market low, median, percentiles, and all other figures. Exact advertised prices are never reproduced.
DealerNorth's reports and dashboard are built from vehicle pricing and specification information that dealers make publicly available online. We aggregate, normalize, and anonymize this information to produce market-level analytics. We do not republish individual source listings, photographs, or dealer-authored descriptions.
The information we collect — vehicle year, make, model, trim, and advertised price — is limited to factual fields published on public-facing dealer inventory pages. We do not access dealer internal systems, DMS platforms, transaction records, or any non-public information. We do not collect data from sources that require a login, subscription, or other form of authentication.

Actual transaction prices in the Canadian automotive market typically differ from advertised list prices. DealerNorth data is directional market intelligence — not a transaction record, certified appraisal, or pricing recommendation.
DealerNorth makes reasonable efforts to collect accurate data, but provides all data, reports, and dashboard content strictly “as is,” without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including without limitation any warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Nothing in a DealerNorth report, dashboard, email, or communication constitutes financial advice, legal advice, business advice, or a recommendation to take or refrain from any specific pricing or commercial action.
DealerNorth provides market information to inform your decisions — it does not make them. All pricing decisions remain the sole judgement of the subscribing dealer. DealerNorth is not responsible for any pricing decisions, competitive outcomes, or business results arising from use of its data.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law:
(a)DealerNorth's total liability to any subscriber or user for any claim arising out of or related to the use of our data, reports, or service — whether in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise — shall not exceed the total fees paid by that subscriber in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
(b) DealerNorth is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenue, loss of business opportunity, or loss of data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
(c) These limitations apply regardless of the form of action and even if any limited remedy set out in these terms fails of its essential purpose.
All vehicle makes, model names, trim names, and related marks referenced in DealerNorth reports and the dashboard are the trademarks of their respective manufacturers and owners. DealerNorth uses these names solely to identify vehicle types for statistical purposes.
DealerNorth is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or in any way connected to any vehicle manufacturer, dealer group, or automotive platform. No reference to a brand or model implies any business relationship or endorsement.
By subscribing to DealerNorth, you agree not to:
DealerNorth's data is licensed to your dealership for internal pricing and market analysis only.
DealerNorth collects limited personal information from subscribers for the purpose of service delivery: name, business email, dealership name, and phone number. This information is used solely to deliver reports, manage your subscription, and communicate about the service. We do not sell, share, or disclose subscriber personal information to third parties, except as required by law or to service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
Vehicle listing data is not personal information. DealerNorth does not collect, process, or store personal information about consumers or customers of the dealerships we track.
DealerNorth's handling of personal information is consistent with the principles of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You may request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hello@dealernorth.com. We will respond within 30 days.
DealerNorth sends monthly market reports and related product communications by email under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL, S.C. 2010, c. 23).
We do not send unsolicited commercial email.
DealerNorth may update this policy as the service evolves. Subscribers will be notified of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
This policy and any disputes arising from it are governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The parties attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Manitoba for any dispute arising out of or relating to this policy or the DealerNorth service.
